Reflection:What i think William Penn meant by this quote is that making a bad choice is never okay!..Yes, everyone might be for it but that doesn’t make it right or good. For instance let’s say your friends are all going to ditch school the next day and they want you to go with them, of course the wrong thing to do would be to say yes so they won’t think you are not cool. On the other hand the right thing to do would be to say no even if they get mad at you, because you have to be able to determine right from wrong.I’m not saying you can’t have fun and go out with your friends but you do have to limit yourself and know what is bad decision.  Another example would be smoking. Let’s  say one day your friend comes to your house and he is smoking and he tells you if you want to try it...The right thing to do would be to say NO!, because even if everyone is smoking weed or getting high that doesn’t mean you should do it too. The reason why is because you should be able to determine and see that smoking weed can affect your health in negative way. Don’t be a follower ….CTR ALWAYS!!!

Reflection: What i think Peter Vidmar meant by this quote is that opportunities don’t come around twice. In the same way I believe this quote means that if you throw your dream for something that isn’t permanent it’ a waste of time. For example let’s say your goal is recive a A+ for your Math class before your permanent report card  and you know you are going to have a huge test the next day, and you decide to go out with your friends instead of staying home to study. You just throw away your goal for something that wasn’t worth it, because you can always go out with your friends some other day but  you won’t be able to change your grade to an A+.

                      School Homecoming

Homecoming is the tradition of welcoming back former students and celebrating a school’s existence. Homecoming is a time to celebrate the school you are attending, and after you graduate you come back to see your old friends. In the same way homecoming usually centers around a football game.

Activities? For example Linda Marquez High School (HPIAM) has a spirit week before the homecoming football game. On Monday is was pj’s, meaning you could bring your pj’s to school. Then it was Tropical Tuesday etc.. Many schools have homecoming activities before the homecoming game.

Reflection: In my opinion homecoming is pretty cool, because you get to celebrate the school you attend. Also because the school throw cool activities like the homecoming dance and spirit week before the Homecoming game.  In the same way homecoming is a good experience to just meet up with your friends and have fun and to show school spirit.

A Good Name     

Student Success Statement: ‘’ A good name is better than anything you can achieve in this life.’’

Reflection: In my opinion i think this quote means that making a good name for yourself is far way more valuable. Yes, achieving accomplishments is really important and good, but the one thing people are going to know you for would be  your name. That’s why making a good name for yourself and to  have others know you because of it is the biggest accomplishment in your life. Another reason why i believe having a good name is better than any accomplishment is because knowing you did good in your life by choosing  the right and became a great human being is wonderful. Like my quote says, ‘’ A good name will shine forever.’’Meaning no matter what having a good name will forever follow you and will never be forgotten.

Global Opportunities: Careers in other countries

• FBI agents work in Washington D.C on different cases.
• The Netherlands, Australia, United States, and Canada are great places to become a doctor because you get paid more.
• If you want to become a lawyer China, Germany, France, and United States get paid more.

Reflection: You can pretty much settle into whatever career you choose anywhere. In the same way you also have to see what countries offer you more and where you get paid more. For example if you choose to focus your career in criminal justice and you want to be FBI agent you would have to go to Washington D.C, because you work on all the cases their. You also have to see what counties benefits you more either where help is needed the most or where you get paid more.

                                          Choosing a good name

Student Success Statement: ‘’ A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.’’

Reflection: What i think this quote means is that making a good name of yourself is far way more important than money. The reason why is because your name is going to follow you for your rest of your life, and you will be known for your name. For example what Mr. Haymore said, ‘’If you become a CTR person you will be know as a good and hard working student.’’ Meaning whatever you do you are going to be known for that. In the same way i also believe this quote means that making a good person out of you is far way more valuable. After all it’s not the name that is important but the person behind the name.

Health Educator

Duties and Responsibilities:  Health educators teach people about behaviors about your wellness. They advise and help you develop strategies to improve your health. They also help individuals   by collecting data and discussing health concerns with members from specific populations or communities.

Salary: $41,830

Education/ demands: To become a health educator you  must have a Bachelor’s degree alongside you need to be familiar with  health education, public health education or health promotion.

Reflection: No, i wouldn’t want to become a health educator because i want to focus in being a surgeon or something that has to do in criminal justice .
