Kimball meant by this quote is that you will never truly learn to do something if you don't try.I also think this quote means that if you try to do something and it doesn't go that well you need to keep doing it until you do it. For example lets say you want to become a pro skater some day,but you don't know how to skate. In order to become a  pro skater you have  to try to learn how to skate. We learn from our mistakes in the same way we have to try.  .

Emergency Medical Technician                                                                                                                Duties and Responsibilities: Is a person who is specially trained for basic emergency services to victims trauma,or acute  illness before and during transportation to the hospital. All emergency  medical technician  are responsible for rushing to the scene of crisis, and to perform basic life-saving techniques. May include patient assessment, burn management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, birth assistance….etc         Salary: $29,697-$37,780                                                                                                                            Education/demands: You must complete EMT basic training from 6 months-1 years.  You don’t have to complete a four  year college to become an EMT, become many two year colleges offer EMT programs.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

                                             Reflection: No, I wouldn’t want to become an EMT because like I said before I want to focus on a career that has to do in criminal justice, or to become a heart surgeon.

What i mean is as your growing up your unsure of what to do with your life and it doesn't just apply to your career, but also for fitting in. For example in school I'm sure all of  you can relate when your scared to be yourself because of what other might think or say, or your scared to be judge so you try to fit in . Lets say as you get older it's time to chose a career and your under pressure because all of your family wants you to become a doctor, but you want to be in something that has to do with criminal justice. Like i said your always going to feel pressured about something but it is your choice not your mom, dad, or sister, but your chose be who you want to be. DON'T LET NO ONE TELL YOU YOUR FUTURE!

• Ear Nose Throat Doctor                                      Duties and responsibilities: Ear Nose Throat doctors are called Ent doctors. They diagnose and treat disorders of the head and of the neck, including ears, nose, throat, and other structures.                                  Salary: $369.790                                                                                                                                                        Education/demands: You have to apply and finish four years of medical school. During the last two years you have to take a coursework in otolaryngology. After you take the course of a otolaryngology you have to also take Ent program/ training which takes about 3-4 years.                                                                                                                   Reflection: No, I wouldn’t want to become an Ent doctor, because I’m  trying to focus  on something  that has to do in criminal justice or i would like to be a brain/ her surgeon.         

Obedience                                                                                                                                                                  Student  success statement:  ‘’ Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy.’’                             Reflection: In my opinion what i think David Bednar meant by this quote is that if you choose the right all the time you will be happy. The reason why I believe that if you choose the right and stay away from all the bad things you will be happy is , because  if you do you will have a clean mind meaning you won’t have any worries about something you did knowing you always follow the rules. In the same way if you follow all the rules and stay out of trouble  you can be assure your going to have a wonderful life without problems.                                   

                                                     LAUSD Student Services                                                                      LAUSD provides many student services such as Parent Community and student services, pupil services, student health and human service, homeless education/ service, food service, special education instruction service, and student integration service.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Reflection: In my opinion i believe all the services that LAUSD provides are simply great, because all these services help kids and students have a better education and will help them go to college. For example the homeless service is for all the kids who don't have homes, but are given a chance to go to school. These services can give kids a better chance to have a better life.

Meaning that the right thing to do is to choose the good decision instead of the bad decision. For example even if choosing the right thing to do can cause problems for you...you should still do it. Let me explain lets say your in class and you taking a test, and you don't know the answer for number one so you ask the boy next to you. The teacher hears someone talking and blames the boy siting next to you for copying and gives him a 0 on his exam. Of course the wrong thing to do is just to stay quiet so you won't get in trouble, but the right thing to do is to say the truth. Yes, by telling the truth you can get in trouble, but by saying that it was you trying to copy.. that is choosing the right.The reason why is because lying is never choosing th

                 Dermatologist                                                                                              DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Dermatologist diagnose and treat more than 3,000 different diseases.Such as skin, eczema, acne,psoriasis, and nail infections. The also improve the appearance of the skin, nail, and hair. They use procedures as botox, infections, chemical peels, laser surgery, and liposuction.                                                                                            SALARY $300,000- $262,500                                                                                                                                         DEMANDS:You have to go to college and earn a bachelor’s degree. Then go to medical school and become a medical doctor  or a osteopathic medicine. Must also be in a program for 3 years.                                                                                                    Reflection- No, i wouldn’t like to study for this profession. I would like to head towards becoming a heart surgeon, or something a little different  that has to do in criminal justice.                            

                                            STUDENT SUCCESS STATEMENT                                                               "What you are as a person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player.''                                                                                                                                                     What i think John Wooden meant is that even though you are a basketball player you shouldn't consider yourself as much, because you are still a human being like everyone else. I also think this quote depends mostly on your personality because being a basketball player doesn't matter but the type of person you are. For example the video we watched in class we saw how a basketball player on the opposing team passed the ball to another basketball player on the opposing team gave him a chance to win... BEINg nice caring or nion selfish is far more important.

                                                               TRUE WEALTH                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    '' True wealth is of the heart, not of the purse.''                                                     What I think this quote means is that money can"t buy happiness. Yes, if your wealthy you can buy        anything you want, but love or making your heart happy can't be bought. Many of you may say           you dont need love when  you'd rather have all the money in the world, but that is the biggest               mistake. True wealth for me is having that one special person by your side because even if your           poor and you know that special person won't leave you that is all the wealth u'd need. MONEY           COMES AND GOES....BUT TRUE LOVE DOESN'T LEAVE YOUR SIDE....                                               

   DENTAL  ASSISTANT                                                                                            *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Their responsibilities include preparing patients for treatments and teeth cleanings, plus sterilizing instruments. They also process oral X-rays and help maintain patient records. Prepare treatment rooms,prepares patient by seating, comforting and gives patient information.  A dental assistant is a dental health professional who works closely and under the supervision of a dentist.                                                                                                            * SALARY: $34,500                                                                                                                                *EDUCATION/DEMANDS:  You need a high school diploma and need to be in dental training.              *REFLECTION: No, I wouldn’t want to be dental assistant, because i would like to finish college to get a good job that has to do in law or a surgeon.                                

                                                            FEEL RIGHT                                                                                  Is it possible to feel right when you do something wrong or bad?...Ezra T. Benson once said,                "You cannot do wrong and feel right. It is impossible'', what I think he meant by this quote is that you cannot do something bad and feel proud of what u done or said. Although you do learn from your mistakes so that you won't make the same mistake over and over again. I don't believe anyone can feel good or proud of something they once did that was bad. For example, lets say you forgot to do your homework and the teacher is collecting it early in class, and you see that the girl sitting next to you did it so you get and turn it in as your homework while she isn't looking. Of course you don't feel good because that homework isn't your, and cause of that the girl got a fail. Their is no way you can feel good or right knowing you just stole someone else homework. On the other hand if you tell the teacher that the assignment you turned in isn't your and it's the girl sitting next to you, of course you would get some sort of punishment for taking something that isn't yours, but you will feel good because you did the right thing.

Dentist diagnose and treats  problems with patient’s teeth, gums,or related parts of the mouth.They also provide diet choices to assure your  teeth stay strong and healthy.         ~Diagnosing oral diseases.    ~Creating treatments plans to maintain or to help restore the oral health of their patients.   ~Interpreting x-rays and diagnostic test.                                                   SALARY:  $149,310                                                                                                                                                                     EDUCATION/DEMANDS:   ~ Must have a bachelor’s degree.                                                   ~Must have a doctoral degree in dental surgery.                                                                       ~ Must complete a 1-2 year residency and be licensed in the state.                                         ~ You need to have good communication,and have  good solving-skills.                                                                                                       

REFLECTION: No, I wouldn’t like to be a dentist because I’m not interested in that field. I would like to be more involved with something that had to do with law or a surgeon.

When I do bad I feel bad.''What i think he meant by this quote is that if you do something on you own no cheating, or expecting something in return you feel good. For example if you get an A on your test and you didn't cheat you feel proud of yourself, because you know that your hard work payed off. On the other hand if your having a test and you decide to copy off someone you will feel bad. Yes, even if you get an A on the test you feel bad, because you don' deserve that A knowing you didn't work hard for it.

 
CHIROPRACTOR

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : A Chiropractor is a health care professional focused on treatments for neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment or manipulation of the spine. If a patient comes in with back issues he/she will be sent for an X-rays.  They perform a series of manual adjustments  to the spine or other articulations of the body. Diagnose and evaluate the functioning of the neuromuloskeletal system.                                                                                                                    SALARY :  66,160                                                                                                                                                       
EDUCATION/ DEMANDS : You must earn a Bachelor’s Degree ( doctor of chiropractor is required to work as chiropractor ). You also must attend a Chiropractor College. Then you have to obtain a licence.  You must earn 90 credits at the undergraduate level.                                                                                                                          REFLECTION: No, i wouldn’t want to be a Chiropractor because I’m not really interested in that field. I would like to be involved with something that had to do with law or a surgen.                       

              OBEDIENCE : Boyd K. Packer once said, '' The key to freedom is obedience. The more obedient we are, the more freedom we have.'' What i think this quote means is that if you chose the right all the time you won't have have no problems in life. For example, lets say your friend robs a bank and you were their and you didn't say anything, you would go to jail, and for that little mistake you would lose your freedom.

911 Attacks:                                                                                                                                                                  As you all know September 11, 2001, was the deadliest day  in history. Many people were killed that day...6,000 people were injured, 265 people were killed in the four flight that crashed, and 125 people were killed when the plain crashed in the pentagon. Flight 11 crashed in the North Tower, Flight 75 crashed in the South Tower, Flight 77 crashed into the pentagon, and Flight 93 crashed in Shanksville Pennsylvania. All the flight were hijacked by terrorist  from Saudi Arabia. To think of this horrible day that many lives were killed of innocent people makes me very sad.
