Class Evaluation

Image result for choose the right pathSome things I like about this class is that we do student success statements and we watch videos. I wouldn't want to make any changes. This class has taught me how to use all the tools that the computers can offer us. In the same way thanks to this class i know how to save documents and transports it to place from place. Yea I do believe i do my best in this class, I try to focus and explain my thought well when we do student success statement. I also finish on time assignments that are given out or assigned. To add on, yes I'm ready for Life planning Goals Journals for five minutes because i make sure i bring my journal everyday with me and i report in my report page. I also make sure to write in my goals journal everyday when i have a chance to do so. Yes, I'm committed to be a CTR person because  I know if i always choose to the right I'm going to be on the road to success. Being a CTR person is knowing whats right and whats wrong. It is that one person who will stand alone even when the whole world is against her/him. I am ready too be that person! The reason why is because i believe that if you always choose the right your going to be successful in life as well as happy. :)

Student Success Statement: “ When you tell one lie, it leads to another.”

Reflection: What I think Paul Hatch meant by this quote is that there is never just one lie. Like Mr.Haymore said once you say one lie you  have to keep saying more lies to cover up the first one you said. To add on, we all have master the art of lying ,meaning even if we lie one time we sure to lie again because we see how easy it is to lie. For instance once we lie it is very hard not to say another lie after that, and even if we didn’t want to we have to...because if you say a lie and you are about to get caught you have to keep lying that way you can cover up the first lie you said. I’ve come to realize that when you lie, that lie will catch up to you sooner or later.

The Sting of the Scorpion
By:Patrick Kearon

What technically happened in this short clip was how a family was camping in a desert and the parents would always tell their son to wear shoes when he gets up. However the son disobeyed and went wandering in the desert without shoes and he got stung  by a scorpion. What i learned from this video is that if you disobey bad things will happen, in this case the boy got stung by a scorpion. I also learned that if your parents tell you not to do something it is for a reason, and we shouldn’t question them.
Student Success Statement: “ Always do right.”

Reflection:What I think this reflection means is that no matter what you should always do the right thing.Even if doing so could have major consequences for yourself. The reason why I believe this is, because if you do the right thing you will have a clean conscious. Meaning you won’t have to worry  about anything knowing you did the right thing. For instance let’s say you go to a park and you see a homeless person looking for food in the trash and you have a lot of food with you at the time. The wrong thing to do would be to do nothing. On the other hand the right thing to do is offer him some food. This simple act of kindness and compassion is worth millions. To add on, knowing that their are a lot of people and kids on the streets that are starving and not doing anything is the wrong thing to do. After all you don’t lose anything by giving away a meal to someone in need.

Student Success Statement: “ It’s better to be alone than to be in bad company.”

Reflection: What i think this quote means is that it’s better to be alone and make good decisions, rather than be with bad company and be influenced to make bad decisions. In the same way being alone is better because that way you make all your decisions based if you know it’s right or wrong to do so. I also think this quote means that even if the whole world is on one side and you know it’s for a bad/wrong reason, you should be able to say no even if you are standing alone.

Challenges Teens Face Today

Reflection: Teens face several challenges today such as depression, drug use, eating disorder, bullying, and addiction to social media. However,I’m not saying that all challenges we face are bad. For example two of my biggest challenge would be keeping up my grades, and choosing a career. It’s hard to keep my grades at a 4.0 GPA...but i know as long as i do all my homework, study before a test, finish all my projects/assignments i will be fine. On the other hand, as in my career i need to focus on fields that i would be interested in. The way i can help people who are facing challenges such as depression would be by talking to them that way they won’t feel like their alone in the world..I would also give them advice and make sure to help them out. If someone would be getting bullied i would stand up for them even if i didn’t know that person. The reason why would be because i know for a fact that if i were to be getting bullied i would want someone to stand up for me. In short being a CTR person is important, because you can determine what’s good and what’s bad.

Physical Fitness
Student Success Statement: ‘’Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong.”      -President John F. Kennedy

Reflection: I agree with this quote because in order to have a healthy mind you have to have a healthy body. For example if i don’t get enough sleep that could affect my learning by not being able to concentrate class. To add on, i need to stop eating too much junk food, get enough sleep, exercise daily, eat healthy, reduce my screaning time( T.V)...that way I will be able to have a healthy mind and body. In the same way exercising daily can be really good for you because you can developeskills, and like the quote says,”intelligence and skill can only function when the body is healthy and strong.” That is really true because your not going to be able to focus and think clearly if you don’t sleep nor exercise.
