Student Success Statement: “ Right is Right only when entire.”

Reflection: What I think this quote means that saying a lie is the same thing as saying the truth but leaving some details out .What  I also think the quote means is that lying is wrong and not right.  For example, let’s say you tell your mom that you are going to your friend house to study for an exam, and she says okay. Part of it is true you are going to your friend house but not to study. Instead you are going to a party. You see that would be considered wrong because you are lying. Even though you did tell the truth about going to your friend house. You are still lying for leaving the party out. Like the quote says, “ right is right only when entire.” Meaning right is right only when you say everything , and you don’t keeps details out.

Navy Seals

Requirements: Must be 18-28 years old. Must have a high school diploma. Be proficient in reading,speaking,writing, and understanding English language. Must also have a clean record. Have good eyesight score a 20/20. Can’t be color blind. Must attend  training or boot camp.

Reflection: This pathway is something i would be really interested in. However, i would like to keep my options open.

Duties and Responsibilities: The naturopathic physician is a primary health care provider of naturopathic medicine. The treat causes of diseases while stimulating the body’s own healing ability.

Salary:$80,000-$200,000 per year

Education/Demands:

*Obtain a Bachelor’s Degree.

*Get a Medical Degree from an approved school.

*Complete a Graduate level program in Naturopathic Medicine.

*Must also be licensed and pass the exams to

be so.

*Participate in a Residency Program.

REFLECTION: No, I am not interested in this career path. It doesn’t really capture my attention. I prefer to be a surgeon or something in criminal justice. For example, to be in the Navy or to be a FBI profiler.

Good Quality People

Student Success Statement: “ Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for ‘tis better to stand alone than in bad company.”

Reflection: What I think this quote means that it’s better to be on your own and make good decisions, than be with bad company and be tempted to do bad decisions. This generation and past  have always judge people by their looks and with whom you associate with.  For example, let’s say three out of six of your friends you hang out with do drugs people automatically will think the worst of you and think you're a drug addict. Which in some situation associating with bad company can get you in a lot of trouble and tempt you to do the  not so  wise decision. What I also think this quote is trying to say is that it’s better to stand alone, be on your own, and make decisions that are wise,

Presidents Day is on February 22. This is a day to honor all the American presidents, but most significantly George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. The story of Presidents’ Day date begins in 1800. Following President George Washington’s death in 1799, his February 22 birthday became a perennial day of remembrance. At the time, Washington was venerated as the most important figure in American history, and events like the 1832 centennial of his birth and the start of construction of the Washington Monument in 1848 were cause for national celebration. Their are really no ways to celebrate or honor President’s Day in my opinion. What I can do is keep in mind what they had to go threw to make america how it is now. Of course America isn’t perfect but we are taking small steps, and soon we will achieve.

Reflection: What I think this quote means is that you need to set goals in order to know what way to go. If you set a goal you will know what direction to go  and what to do in order to accomplish it. You have to know where you want to be in life and set goals to make it come true and be successful. What I think he also meant by that quote is that life has many different paths and obstacles, but as long as you set goals throughout your life and have the determination to achieve you will be on the right direction to success. All you need is a direction, in this case let your goals guide the way.

FBI Profiler

Duties and Responsibilities : What a criminal profiler does is study criminal behavior for clues to psychology to aid in capturing them. Criminal profilers review evidence at crime scenes to figure out how a crime took place. They also may work on older cases to develop a suspect profile in which law enforcement can use during an investigation. In the same way they research and analyse case files.

Salary: $105,211- $136,771

Education/ demands: If you want to become a criminal profilers you need to obtain a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social sciences, criminal justice, or behavioral science. You also need a degree program in criminal justice. As well as training in criminology  ,criminal procedures, law enforcement, criminal law, evidence gathering, social psychology and criminal investigation.

Reflection: Yes, this is a career I may be interested in. I want to focus in a career in criminal justice. I have always found this career interesting ,because I want to know why criminals react the way they do and what triggers them to convict a crime.

Reflection: What i think he meant by this quote is that only those who choose the right always will be the  ones who truly live life. The reason why i think this is because if you're a CTR person your going to have a clean conscious and no regrets in life, and you will live and have a happy life. You can not live life if you have unfinished business or regrets, because you won’t be happy and you will only think of what could or could not happened. I also think this quote means that those who  do acts of kindness without expecting anything in return are the ones who live life better.

Student Success Statement: “ I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and i can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work,and I decided that I would change it.”   -Dr. Ben Carson

Reflection: What I think he meant by this quote is that we choose our future, and weather we are successful or not. For example, in his case he was born in a very poor place but he didn’t let that stop him. The reason why that is important is because it doesn’t matter where you come from, skin color you are, because we can chose to be very successful in life. We can make that happen if only we have determination to do so. As well as to work hard to accomplish our goals in life and never let a financial problem stop you, you can achieve anything in life. We choose how we want to live our life. Coming from a place or poor family will not matter in the end. If we choose to work hard and achieve we will look back and be proud of everything we had to overcome. Like Mr. C says, “ We are greatness waiting to happen."

Student Success Statement: “ Even if everyone is doing it, wrong is never right.”

Reflection:What I think Russell M. Nelson meant by this quote is that just because a big amount of people do something doesn’t make it the right thing to do. Wrong is wrong , you can not make excuses for it. For example let’s say you are at your friend’s house and everyone their is smoking weed or popping xanax pills and they offer you. You should say no, because even though everyone there is doing it , doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to try it. Like I said wrong is wrong. Doesn’t matter if everyone goes for it. You have to know when something is wrong and right, and with that knowledge make wise decisions.
