Student Success Statement: " My basic principles is that you don't make decisions because they are easy; you don't make them because they are cheap; you don't make them because they're popular: you make them because they're right."  

 

Reflection: What I think this quote means is that you should always make good/right decisions. You have to be able to know weather something is right or wrong. You shouldn't allow what is popular  influence your decisions. Meaning just because a lot of people are doing something that you know is not right, you should not follow through. I also think this quote means that just because a lot of people are doing something doesn't make it right. For example, let's say all your friends are going to ditch school to smoke weed. You would have to make a decision to go or to stay at school. You might want to go because you wouldn't want to be left out or be called something. However, the right thing/ decision would be to stay in school and not ditch with your friends.
